Now in their fourth year!
A walking retreat, with three pilgrimages to the holy sites of Yorkshire, sauntering with the saints.
The first day a coastal walk, along Bempton cliffs, with their puffins and gannets, round Flamborough Head to the shrine of the fourteenth century saint, John of Bridlington.
The second day, a walk from the medieval Cistercian ruins at Fountains along the river Skell to Ripon Cathedral, with its Anglo-Saxon Crypt of St Wilfrid.
The third day a walk from Hawnby to twelfth century Rievaulx Abbey through the spring woods of Ryedale to the home of St Aelred.
Each day we will begin the morning with prayer, depart on our trips after Mass, fill the day with walking (some of it silent), stops for prayer, song, readings and a picnic lunch, and return to the Abbey for Vespers and a convivial evening reflection. The walks are for those able and willing to take on four to five hours, six to eight miles, up hill and down dale.
Full board and light refreshments are included.
