In his Rule, in addition to the books of Scripture, St Benedict provides a reading list drawn from the major spiritual authors of his own time, which is designed to provide his monks with the means to reflect on their own spiritual life, with the aid and counsel of others who have trod the path before them. In this retreat, Fr Cedd will explore some of the major themes of monastic spirituality, drawing on texts from the Fathers of the Church and other spiritual authors from the long tradition of the Church.
This guided retreat includes full board and light refreshments.
